Description
The “Scout” is another first for our team at Austrack Campers. For some time now we had realised that the camper trailer market is based on very large tents fitted to heavy trailers and consequently restricted families with small to medium sized vehicles from owning a camper trailer. We also noticed that camper tents for motorbikes were the opposite being very small and of course only designed for a maximum of two people and if you owned a motor cycle camper and you were able tow it behind your vehicle you still couldn’t accommodate the rest of your family or a couple of friends. We decided the market was crying out for a family sized tent that would be light and compact enough to fit on a small trailer and be towed behind either a car or motorcycle, so we embarked on designing and manufacturing such a product and the result is the revolutionary “Scout” small car or motorbike camper trailer.
Specifications
- Finish: Fully galvanised, welded & powder coated using a triple coating system. Fully prep-washed (to remove all traces of oil & grease found on raw steel to ensure perfect bonding), primed & a heavy duty powder coated finish is applied. Sikaflex sealant through out every join in the trailer for total & complete sealing of the trailer.
- Construction: Tub dimensions 1440mm x 870mm. 350mm high sides. Fully welded 2.00mm aluminium tub – light & Strong!
- Drawbar & Chassis: 65 x 35 x 2.50mm drawbar.
- Brakes: 39mm axle with 5 stud hubs. Optional 10″ electric brakes.
- Suspension: 3 leaf springs 600kg rated.
- Jockey Wheel: 1 x swing away jockey wheel.
- Electrical System: Rear lights enclosed for protection.
- Stone Guard: Pair of embossed mudflaps.
- Wheels & Tyres: 3 x brand new 13″ Alloy Wheels3 x brand new tyres. Size is 155/65/13.Wheels include chrome wheel nuts.Upright spare wheel holder.1 x rear stabiliser leg & winder. Pair of embossed mud flaps. Optional upright spare wheel holder with spare wheel and tyre.

Tent Features
- MATERIAL: 13oz ripstop canvas with M3 midgee mesh on all windows, vents & doors. Heavy duty PVC floor sewn into main tent.
- ANNEX: Full annex consisting of annex roof, walls, floor including tailgate section. Over-sized midgee mesh windows with solid canvas window covers.
- WINDOWS: Zipped internal & external window covers in main tent. External zippered window covers in annex.
- MATTRESS: 100mm high density foam 1700 x 2100mm.
- POLES: Galvanised 25mm with reinforced corners & come in canvas bags. Additional spreader bars, poles, guy ropes & pegs to turn external window covers into awnings are also included.
- ROPES & PEGS: Galvanised pegs with ropes & springs, come in a canvas bag.
- TRAVEL COVER: Heavy duty PVC travel cover which zips & velcros closed with additional tie downs on sides.
- ANNEX: The annex roof quickly & easily zips & velcros on or off making this very versatile for either short or extended stays.
- DOORS: Large U-shaped doors including a rear door with both canvas & midgee screens allowing for airflow without letting the bugs in. All 3 doors (including annex door) are in a row maximizing airflow.
